NAFTA Townhall – Weds Sept 20

Please join the labor community for a town-hall meeting on NAFTA, co-sponsored by Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch. This is the place to inform yourself about the details, get updated on where the negotiations are, and plan how we are going to put pressure on the Trump Admin and the Congress to make sure NAFTA gets changed in ways that make it worker and union friendly.

rallyTrumpWalmart
Join Progressives at the University of Michigan and the labor community tomorrow:

When: Thursday Sept 14 at 5 PM
Where: University of Michigan Diag
Facebook event

“Join us on the Diag to explore the (un)surprising links between Trump’s vision of America and Walmart’s mega-corporate business model. The goal of this rally — one of 30 being held across the country — is to expose the real consequences of this destructive, shared agenda. We see these effects in education, jobs, health care, & political economy. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to show solidarity with the labor movement right here in our local community. Let’s stand up for a better, more inclusive future!

Speakers (more tba!):
Ian Robinson: Lecturer Employees Organization, Graduate Employees Organization, Huron Valley Area Labor Federation
Michelle Regalado Deatrick: Washtenaw County Commissioner, District 2
Phil Bianco: DSA Huron Valley, labor activist”
